Roadmap to Meat Less
Day 1: Watch Our Health Video
Wondering why we should eat less meat? Let’s start with our bodies. Research shows that plant-based eaters have lower risk of heart disease, high blood pressure, type 2 diabetes, stroke, some types of cancer and obesity…the list goes on. The smallest steps to change have never been easier to take.

Day 3: Watch Our Air Video
We hear it everyday, our environment is being dramatically and negatively affected by greenhouse gases. Alternative fueled vehicles are gaining in popularity but what about alternative foods? Watch and learn how they can make a difference.
Day 4: Nature Walk
Take a nature walk near your home to appreciate the environment around you!
Day 5: Watch Our Water Video
Hear from Dr. Michael Jacobson, co-founder, long-time Executive Director, and current senior scientist at the Center for Science in the Public Interest on the immense amounts of water required to grow animal feed. Ex. A single quarter pound hamburger takes 450-650 gallons of water to produce.
Day 6: Get a Reusable Water Bottle
Celebrate the fact that you are contributing to cleaner water while also benefiting the environment even more with a reusable water bottle.
Day 7: Watch Our Animals Video
Research shows pigs are intelligent, emotional and cognitively complex animals that mourn loss, play and of course, have a personality. Go inside a Farm Sanctuary and learn how rescued animals are getting a second chance at life.
Day 6: Support a Local Vendor
Familiarize yourself with the delicious resources around you, such as farm stands, open air markets, green cafes and plant-based restaurants.
